The morning began with a King’s 1 style format of 2+7s at 300, 500 and 600yds, with Rob Edwards finishing at the top of the pack to win the Falla trophy on a 101.12.
After lunch, competitors shot a King’s 2 style shoot where conditions were even more tricky. Ed Welford had a brilliant afternoon, only dropping 2 points over the 3 ranges to finish in first with a 148.16, winning with Renouf trophy.
The team then happily returned to the hotel to get suited and booted into their number 1s for a social dinner with members of the Guernsey Rifle Club, which ended with the Captain announcing the 8 and reserve pair for the following day’s match.
